Mainly three to six months after submission, they will inform the researcher about the acceptance, refinement, or rejection of the article after appraisal by reviewers. Your article may be accepted without any changes; however, it occurs less frequently. The review and revision of the article is needed in most of the cases. The editor announces the conditional admission of the article and will ask you to modify the paper according to the list of the reviewers’ comments so, that your article will be re-examined. In this case, the author will be usually given a deadline to make the necessary corrections.
If the article has been written long ago, update the references. Try to finish the revision before the deadline. If, in a particular case, it is not possible to revise it according to the journal framework, the author can explain it for the editor.
